The track record for Kaizen Event sustainability is generally low unless we take active steps to ensure that we don’t backslide. Some estimates for sustainability are as low as 25% after one year. That’s very poor, and a real cause for concern. If we allow the Kaizen to backslide, we will have essentially wasted our time and money on the Kaizen event.
