The main job of the team leader is to make sure that the objectives of the Kaizen are being pursued, that the schedule is being met, and the that focus of the team is maintained. The team leader checks in often to make sure that the short amount of time available is being used wisely.

As the Kaizen enters the second half of the time allowed, the team leader should also work closely with the event coordinator to work on the final Report-Out. Remember that the coordinator has primary responsibility for that document, but input from the team leader is necessary and important.
