We create our Value Stream Maps manually, using brown paper, pencils, tape and Post-It notes. It is important not to attempt to use software too soon, in order to “make it pretty”. Do it by hand at first, and when you’re sure it’s right, it is perfectly acceptable to convert the map to an electronic format.
